My Essentials

Everyone has their essentials or just any ingredients/snacks you like to have on hand at all times. There are some things that differ depending on the season and what not, but for the most part, I'm always stocked up on these certain items!

In my fridge:
  • Pure Maple Syrup
  • Arugula & Fresh Herbs- dill, parsley, and mint are my faves when we don't have any fresh growing outside
  • Berries- especially blueberries & raspberries
  • Lemons/Limes
  • Grapefruits & Oranges- my favorite juice is 2:1 grapefruit to oranges, with lime and ginger
  • Homemade Hummus
  • Olives and Capers
  • Dijon Mustard/Mustard Seed
  • Fresh Produce- tons and tons of root veggies- carrots, parsnips, beets, turnips--- my favorites!
  • Eggs
  • Dairy; cheeses, milk, butter, heavy cream
In the freezer:

In the Pantry:
  • Raw Honey
  • Cacao Powder
  • Peanut Butter/Nut Butter (I'm obsessed)
  • Coconut Sugar
  • Garbanzo Beans
  • Corn Tortillas
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Coconut Oil
  • Amino Acids (like soy sauce)
  • Canned Whole Tomatoes
  • Tomato Paste/Sauce
  • Sprouted Brown Rice (my favorite- it's denser/chewier than plain and has a really nutty flavor)
  • Pearl Couscous
  • Onions/Garlic/Shallots
  • Sweet Potatoes
  • Oats
  • Chia Seeds
  • Vanilla/Almond/Peppermint Extract
  • Dark Chocolate
  • Coconut Shavings
  • LOTS of coconut milk

On the Counter:
  • Bananas
  • Cherry Tomatoes
  • Avocados
  • Any fruits that need ripening
  • Hearty Bread

In the spice drawer:
  • Cinnamon
  • Whole Nutmeg
  • Cumin
  • Oregano
  • Dried Mint
  • Dried Basil
  • Rubbed Sage
  • Dried Thyme
  • Chili Powder
  • Cayenne Pepper
  • Chipotle Chili Powder (my favorite pepper)
  • Bay Leafs
  • Turmeric
  • Curry Powder
  • Hickory Smoked Salt 
  • Vanilla Beans/Cinnamon Sticks
