Sweet and Spicy BBQ Pork Back Ribs

So last night I made Sweet & Spicy BBQ Pork Back Ribs and they were amazing. At first I looked at my barbecue sauce recipe on this blog to remember what I did but then I started adding ingredients and tweaking it and it turned out amazing. It takes some work and time but trust me it's worth it. I cooked it low and slow so they were tender, spicy, sweet, and sticky.

IN:
2 slabs pork back ribs
1 tbs. salt- to season ribs
1 tbs. pepper- to season ribs
1 tbs. chili powder
2 tbs. EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) -separated

BBQ Sauce:
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 tbs. chopped rosemary
15 dashes Louisiana Hot Sauce
1/4 cup mustard
1/4 cup worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. pepper
dash of salt

HOW: Pre-heat the oven to 250º...
In a sauce pan mix all of the ingredients together over medium heat. Once brought to a low boil turn off heat and set aside. Mix the salt and pepper together in a small bowl. If the ribs haven't been removed of the membrane... remove it! Drizzle both side of the ribs with the olive oil first. Then put a generous amount of the dry rub on both sides of the ribs. Rub them gently and pour half the barbecue sauce on them. Brush them. Cover them with foil and put it in the oven for 2 hours and 30 minutes. Then wrap up the BBQ sauce and put it in the fridge. After cooking the ribs put a little more of the sauce on top and take off the foil. Put under the broiler for 5-8 minutes. Let cool and enjoy. Use the excess BBQ sauce on top of the ribs if wanted.
