All About Me! (updated)

Hi, I'm 11 years old and have the biggest passion for food! My name is Cecilia Azar! I love to cook and have ever since i was 4 years old. I am absolutely in-love with food network and cooking channel! I will watch, read, and do anything that has to do with food. I make up my own recipes and cook at least one thing every day. I always help with dinner and cook dinner for my family often. I have watched the movie Julie and Julia too many times to count and I look up recipes all the time of my favorite chefs to get inspired. I basically live on food and grew up with it all around me. If i watch TV its mostly going to be food network or cooking channel! Well, thanks for reading this and I will post a bunch of my recipes and some videos and pictures here! Please come back and read this!!!!!

                                                                                                  Love- Cecilia A.

That was just 2 years ago... Now I'm 13 and going through all my older posts, editing, deleting, and whatever, I thought I'd add a little update on this! I was going to delete it, but what's the fun of that? Well besides my age difference, nothing has really changed. I mean I have broadened my variety of TV shows that I like to watch, but that comes with growing older. I am kind of slacking on my cooking, I hate to say it, but I haven't been cooking nearly as much as I need or want to. I am very proud of my sticking with the blog, though! My URL name has changed a lot. It went from chefcecilia, to onceateenfoodie, to a lot of other random ones I kept for about a total of 2 seconds, now to thepepperedpot. Don't ask me how I came up with that one, I can't really explain! My mom just said it and it was the only one that wasn't taken... I wouldn't be surprised if it was changed in a couple of months but I think I like it. Yes, I probably have lost some viewers because of this. I like to blog because it's a place where I can record my recipes and just kind of talk about food, whether anybody sees it or not. We'll see how different my cooking and life is in a couple of years... but until then, I will keep up the blogging! :)

                                                                                                         XOXO- Cecilia A. <3

WOW!! I'm so surprised I've kept up with this blog for the past 4 years! I told myself I was going to update this one post every two years and I definitely didn't think I'd remember to do it when I turned 15 (I almost didn't), but it's so fun to see how much I've grown in just two years, especially with my cooking! Like I mentioned above, I went through a little rut and basically never cooked for a couple of years. Seriously, I think I only had 2 posts in 2013. In 2014 I got really into health, which totally reminded me of how much I loved to be in the kitchen. Since then, I've been more into cooking and food than ever! Food Network is back to being the only TV channel I enjoy watching, along with the occasional HGTV. My blog has become a little more public over the past year, with Thread MB and just opening it up to more friends rather than hiding it. My passion for cooking has grown incredibly and I'm so grateful for that. I definitely want to still be doing this in two more years and hopefully, for a long time after that- Oh, and I did change the URL again! I'll be back here to update when I'm 17 hopefully!

                                                                                                                     -Cecilia A.

Today is December 18, 2017; I turned 17 in November. Two years really does go by super fast. It's crazy to think that I've had this blog for the past 6 years! I started updating this post--my very first one--every 2 years when I was looking back through all of my posts at 13. I honestly didn't think that I would be here updating it again 4 years later. I guess I thought that I would get older and stop blogging, which I kind of have. I haven't been cooking or posting very much this year-- Junior year has definitely lived up to its standard of being the hardest one haha! I'll be done with my first semester this week, though. I doubt anyone even reads this, but if you made your way to this post, I'm sorry that you had to see some of my earliest posts-- they're pretty scary!! A lot has changed, although my love for cooking has stayed the same. Since my last update, I've become the only kid left in my house-- It's crazy to think that in just a little over a year I'll be starting college, too. Hopefully, I'll be in a major food city like New Orleans or New York, studying food science/culture, gastronomy, or nutrition. I hope to start cooking a lot more often, again, because I have a LONG list of ideas in my notes. Okay, well that's about it... We'll see if I remember about this in 2 years!

Hi Cecilia, I can attest to the fact that you have always loved food. I remember when you were a toddler sitting in the high chair eating and you would make a purring sound of pleasure with every bite you took. Keep up the good work.
